Who We Are:

Catholic Social Services, Inc. in Athens was opened in 1985 in order to provide support and assistance to low-income families. With a special emphasis on the Hispanic population, Athens Community Outreach Center has developed a wide range of services and activities geared specifically to address the needs of this dynamic and rapidly growing community. Since opening its doors, Athens Community Outreach Center has served thousands of families in Northeast Georgia. Through various programs and services, Athens Community Outreach Center seeks to strengthen and empower low-income families by offering information and referral services, English as a Second Language, job readiness training and referrals, social advocacy, counseling, and through working cooperatively with other agencies in the community that can offer support to people in need. All services are available in English and Spanish.

  Your family's income should be at or below 125.0% of the poverty level.

We do not restrict our services based on income for services other than immigration and ESL classes.

This group provides the following types of services based on your legal needs and its resources:
 
  Brief Advice
  Self-Help Materials
  Other- Catholic Social Services in Athens provides English as a Second Language classes, and civics lessons through these classes on topics like banking, building credit, and housing. They also give other kinds of classes. Call 706-548-9421 for more information.
