The Georgia Department of Revenue has entered into an alliance with several companies to offer free on-line filing services to qualified Georgia taxpayers. Under this agreement, taxpayers can file their Georgia personal income tax returns using approved software. Some of the companies also offer free online filing for federal taxes as well.
Go to this web site to find out whether you meet the companies' free filing criteria. Some of the companies may charge a fee for filing tax returns electronically or for preparing federal tax returns.
