Office of the Public Defender - Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit
The Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit's Circuit Public Defender's Officehas been created pursuant to the 2003 Indigent Defense Act enacted by the Georgia General Assembly. On January 1, 2005 this office will assume responsibility for indigent defense in the Superior and Juvenile Courts of Catoosa, Chattooga, Dade and Walker Counties. Until that date, indigent defense will continue to be handled by the use of appointed attorneys, as determined by the Superior Court Judges for each county. |
